Inflatable Kayaks

The Sarapiqui River is our most popular destination on inflatable kayaks or "duckies". The logistics of the adventure are the same as the one day rafting trip, the difference is in how you choose to descend the river. In a "duckie" you are much closer to the water and rapids, therefore the experience is more challenging and many people really enjoy the added excitement and sense of empowerment they gain from really being in control of their boat. We also offer a "duckie" trip on the Pacuare River for advanced paddlers.

Hard Shell Kayaks

All of the trips that Exploradores Outdoors offer in rafts can also be done in a kayak. When you decide which destination best fits your adventure we will have the equipment ready and waiting for you. In order to uphold our safety standards one's skill level and experience must be consistent with the grade of the river you choose.

In addition to fully organizing kayaking trips, there exists also the option to rent equipment if you are planning your own descent. The kayaks available for rental include: EZ, Stubbie, Mr. Clean, 3D, Vertigo and Medieval, 76, Transforming.

Our Exploration Center at the Pacuare take out provides a central point at which we can arrange shuttle transportation to a variety of put ins. We also offer camping at the Exploration Center which allows you to maximize your time on the river each day without the worry of travel the same day as your descent.
